DISTILLING THE ESSENCE OF THEIR ORIGIN

The seed of Tequila 1824 Casta Antigua was planted in August 2009 when Omar and Zandra Castañeda took their honeymoon trip to Mexico. Excited to share his Mexican heritage, Omar booked a Tequila distillery tour in the historic town of Tequila, Jalisco.

Up until that trip, they had yet to experience the true essence of a distinguished tequila. The Castañedas left with a new-found appreciation for the age-old spirit and the idea, that one day, they could bring back an exceptional Tequila worthy of sharing with the world. Fueled by their passion for cultural traditions, exceptional Tequilas, and the desire to be business owners, The Castañedas set on their journey to make that idea a reality. Years of hard work, dedication, and financial sacrifices allowed for their vision to come to fruition.

They are proud to share that their business has been 100% self-funded, family owned, and family operated. Residing in greater Austin they are setting the standard for locally owned brands in quality and taste. Tequila 1824 Blanco

100% Blue agave - 40% Alc. Vol.

Sight:

Transparent, clean interior with platinum reflections in the light.

Nose:

Aroma of cooked agave, with sweet and subtle tones of mint and fresh herbs.

Taste:

Smooth yet crisp flavors of sweet agave and refreshing traces of mint.

Best Served:

Chilled or in your favorite mixer.

Tequila 1824 Reposado

100% Blue Agave – 40% Alc. Vol.

Sight:

Golden color, clear interior with orange reflections in the light.

Nose:

Aroma of American White Oak and cooked agave, with subtle tones of fruit and vanilla.

Taste:

Smooth flavor of American White Oak with very subtle tones of vanilla, honey, and mint.

Best Served:

Neat or try mixed in an 1824 Casta Antigua Paloma.

Tequila 1824 Añejo

100% Blue Agave – 40% Alc. Vol.

Sight:

Amber color, translucent interior with bronze reflections in the light.

Nose:

Aroma of well-defined American White Oak with tones of caramel, vanilla, and pecan.

Taste:

Complex flavor of American White Oak, vanilla, caramel, and a hint of dark chocolate.

Best Served:

Neat or on the rocks.
